Spininsensitive refers to the property of a physical system, measurement, or interaction that is independent of the spin state or spin polarization of the particles involved. The term is used across physics disciplines to contrast with spin-sensitive or spin-resolved phenomena, where outcomes depend on spin orientation, magnetic order, or spin polarization.

In detectors and spectroscopy, a spininsensitive instrument produces an identical response regardless of whether the incoming particles or photons are in any particular spin state. For electrons, this means equal sensitivity to spin-up and spin-down populations; for photons, it implies no discrimination of circular polarization.
