Spamszrése is a term used in Hungarian-language cybersecurity literature to denote a distributed system used for the dissemination of unsolicited bulk email. It typically comprises compromised devices, or bots, coordinated by command-and-control infrastructure to send large volumes of messages across many domains and IP addresses. The aim is to maximize reach while attempting to bypass content filters and reputation-based blocks.

The word spamszrése combines the English word spam with a Hungarian root implying network, roughly translating to "spam network." In practice, a spamszrése refers to the collection of botnets, compromised mail servers, and relay infrastructure that together enable the delivery of spam campaigns. Bots are infected with malware, receive instructions from operators, and can exploit weak mail relays, misconfigured servers, and rapidly changing domains to improve deliverability and evade detection.

Historically, spamszrése-related activity emerged with bulk email in the late 1990s and evolved through the 2000s into large, automated networks. Today, such networks are often global, highly modular, and used for phishing, malware distribution, or mass advertising. The scale and dynamics of spamszrése complicate enforcement and defense, contributing to widespread email insecurity and increased operational costs for organizations and individuals.
