sjöbrisen
Sjöbrisen, meaning "sea breeze" in Swedish, is a meteorological phenomenon commonly experienced along coastlines and near large bodies of water. It occurs due to differential heating between land and water surfaces. During the day, land heats up faster than the adjacent water. The warmer air above the land becomes less dense and rises, creating an area of low pressure. Cooler, denser air from the water then flows in to replace the rising air, resulting in a breeze blowing from the sea towards the land.
This sea breeze effect is most pronounced on clear, sunny days when the temperature contrast is greatest.
