Sjukhusinrättning is a historical Swedish term that referred to a hospital-like establishment dedicated to the care and treatment of the sick. The word combines sjukhus (hospital) with inrättning (institution), and in earlier centuries it denoted facilities sponsored by state, municipality, church, or charitable foundations to provide medical care, housing, and sometimes other welfare functions.

Historically, sjukhusinrättningar encompassed a range of institutions, including hospitals run for the poor or ill, charitable houses with medical treatment, and, in some cases, facilities associated with military care or public health efforts. They were often managed by municipal authorities, religious institutions, or charitable organizations, with support from taxes or donations.
