Sivujäähdytettävissä is a Finnish term that translates to "side-cooled" or "edge-cooled" in English. It is primarily used in the context of computer hardware, specifically referring to the cooling capabilities of certain components, most commonly graphics cards.

When a graphics card is described as sivujäähdytettävissä, it implies that its cooling solution, often a heatsink and fan assembly, is designed to dissipate heat outwards from the edges of the card, rather than solely upwards towards the computer's chassis or downwards towards the motherboard. This design can be beneficial for airflow within a computer case, as it directs hot air away from the GPU and potentially other components.

This cooling approach is often contrasted with designs that exhaust heat directly into the computer case or those that use a blower-style fan to expel hot air out the back of the case.
