Signaaltempo is a Dutch term that translates to "signal speed" in English. It is the duration of a relay's or a signal tower's signal indication, measured in seconds. Signaaltempo is no longer a widely used term in modern telecommunications, but it is still significant in the context of the history of Dutch railways.

In the 19th century, the railways in the Netherlands and other European countries used a system of signal towers and relays to transmit information to train drivers about the safety of the route ahead.
