Semirimless, often written as semi-rimless, refers to a type of eyeglass frame design in which the lenses are surrounded by a partial rim. In typical configurations, the upper portion of the lens is encased in a conventional frame or bridge, while the lower edge is held in place by a slender wire or nylon line. Some designs reverse this arrangement, with a top edge unscreened and the lower portion framed.
