schakelaarsrouter
A schakelaarsrouter, often referred to as a managed switch or a Layer 3 switch, combines the functionality of a network switch with some routing capabilities. While a traditional unmanaged switch simply forwards data packets between devices on the same local network based on MAC addresses, a managed switch offers more advanced control and configuration. A schakelaarsrouter goes a step further by being able to operate at Layer 3 of the OSI model, which is the network layer responsible for IP addressing and routing.
This dual functionality allows a schakelaarsrouter to perform both switching within a local area network (LAN)
The routing capabilities of a schakelaarsrouter enable it to make decisions about the best path for data
