Due to their limited size, satellite speakers do not possess the acoustic volume necessary to reproduce deep bass frequencies effectively. The subwoofer, on the other hand, is specifically engineered to handle these low-frequency effects, often referred to as LFE (Low-Frequency Effects). This design choice offers several advantages, including a more discreet aesthetic, as the small satellites can be easily mounted on walls or placed on shelves.
