Sähköpistorasioiden are electrical outlets found in Finland and other Nordic countries. They are designed to provide a safe and standardized way to connect electrical appliances to the mains power supply. These outlets are characterized by their round shape and the presence of two earth pins, which are a key safety feature.

The Finnish electrical system, like those in other Nordic countries, typically operates at 230 volts with a frequency of 50 hertz. Sähköpistorasioiden are designed to accommodate this voltage and are often rated for a current of 16 amperes. The earth pins on the socket and plug are connected to the protective earth conductor in the wiring system, which helps to prevent electric shock by diverting fault currents safely to the ground.
