Rumstemperaturkondensation is the process by which a vapor in air changes into a liquid at temperatures close to ordinary room conditions. It happens when the air becomes saturated with water vapor or is cooled to its dew point, or when vapor pressure increases enough that liquid droplets form on surfaces.

The key underlying concept is dew point: the temperature at which air, given its current humidity, can no longer hold all the water vapor as vapor and begins to condense into liquid. Relative humidity, air temperature, and surface temperature together determine whether condensation occurs.
