riigivõlakirjad
Riigivõlakirjad, also known as government bonds, are debt securities issued by a national government. When a government needs to raise funds for public spending, infrastructure projects, or to cover budget deficits, it can borrow money from investors by selling these bonds. In return, the government promises to repay the principal amount (the face value of the bond) at a specified maturity date, and typically pays regular interest payments, known as coupons, to the bondholder.
