Respirator filters must be compatible with the specific respirator device they are intended for and should be replaced regularly according to manufacturer guidelines or when breathing resistance increases, or if the filter becomes damaged or contaminated. Proper selection, fit, and maintenance of respirator filters are essential to ensure effective protection against workplace hazards.
