Residualt is a term that appears in some statistical and data-science writings to refer to residual quantities that carry a time or type designation. It is not a standard, formally defined term in mainstream statistics; its meaning can vary between authors and disciplines.

In common usage, residualt often denotes the residual at a specific time point, sometimes written as r_t = y_t − ŷ_t, where ŷ_t is the model’s predicted value for the observation at time t. In time-series or state-space contexts, residualt may be coupled with adjustments for autocorrelation, seasonality, or other temporal structure. Some practitioners also use residualt to indicate a residual vector indexed by time, especially when comparing residuals across time periods or across different subgroups.

Calculation and interpretation of residualt depend on the modeling framework. It may be presented as a plain residual, a standardized residual, or a studentized residual, with additional transformations applied to address heteroskedasticity or autocorrelation.
