Resegone refers to a limestone mountain massif in Lombardy, northern Italy, part of the Bergamasque Alps. It forms a prominent, jagged ridge between Lecco and the valley of Morterone, visible across much of the surrounding region and giving the range its nickname the saw (il resegone) due to the serrated profile. The highest peak, commonly cited as Cima del Resegone, rises to about 1,875 meters above sea level.

Geography and geology: The Resegone massif lies primarily in the province of Lecco, with its western flank
