Reciproc is primarily the name of a dental endodontic instrumentation system designed for root canal preparation using reciprocating motion. The system employs nickel-titanium files that can shape a canal with a single instrument, often marketed as a simplification of conventional multi-file techniques. Files in the Reciproc family are available in multiple sizes, including commonly referenced designations such as R25 and R40, which denote their tip diameters.

The Reciproc system operates by moving the file in alternating directions in a predefined sequence, a motion that aims to reduce plastic deformation and fatigue of the instrument while maintaining efficient dentin removal. The alloy commonly used is heat-treated NiTi, and certain variants, such as Reciproc Blue, are marketed with surface treatments intended to improve flexibility and fatigue resistance.
