Common components include polyester or aramid (like Kevlar) fibers for strength, Mylar (a polyester film) for low stretch and transparency, and sometimes other films for UV protection or to reduce friction. Laminates offer superior performance by minimizing stretch and maintaining shape, but they can be more expensive and less durable than woven polyesters.
