Pudeliga refers to a specific type of poodle cut that is recognized in dog shows and competitions. It is one of the two acceptable styles for poodles in conformation shows, the other being the English Saddle. The pudeliga is characterized by a distinctive appearance that highlights the poodle's athleticism and breed standards.

In a pudeliga clip, the poodle's body is mostly shaved, leaving a clear distinction between the shaved areas and the fluffy sections. Typically, the hindquarters, front legs up to the elbows, and the neck are shaved. A rounded pom-pom of hair is left at the end of the tail, and a puff of hair is also maintained on the top of the head, often referred to as a "topknot." The front chest may also retain some puffiness. The purpose of this specific grooming is to emphasize the poodle's elegant lines, their proud carriage, and their well-muscled physique, as judged in a show ring.

The pudeliga, also sometimes referred to as the "Continental Clip" or "Boutine," is a more elaborate and stylized cut than the more common "puppy clip" or "pet clip" seen on non-show poodles. While visually striking, it requires significant grooming effort and regular maintenance to keep it in show condition. The precise styling and grooming standards are set by national kennel clubs and breed associations.
