Proxysmitte is a term used in cybersecurity to describe the spread or transmission of malware and other unauthorized activity via proxy mechanisms. In practice, proxysmitte covers several related phenomena: it can refer to the compromise of proxy infrastructure itself, the abuse of proxy configurations by clients, and the use of proxies to conceal malicious traffic or to relay payloads.
