projektív

Projektív is a Hungarian adjective meaning "projective." It is used across disciplines to describe concepts tied to projection or perspective, or to indicate that a construction is considered up to a projection rather than by absolute metrics.

In mathematics, projektív is linked with projective geometry and projective transformations. A projektív transformation preserves incidence relations and is defined by coordinates up to projection. Projective space is studied by disregarding distances and angles, focusing instead on the properties that survive projection.

In psychology, projektív tests are projective tests where responses to ambiguous stimuli are interpreted as projections of the subject's internal states. Well-known examples include the Rorschach inkblot test and the Thematic Apperception Test. Their reliability and validity are debated, and they are typically used alongside other assessments.
