Posadzki, in Polish construction, are the floor screed layers laid on a substrate to create a flat, level surface for final floor coverings. They form an integral part of the floor assembly and influence load distribution, thermal performance, and moisture management. Posadzka may also serve as the finished surface in some cases, especially when highly smooth or decorative.

The most common types include cement-based screeds (posadzka cementowa), which are poured in thicknesses typically around 40–60 mm and cured before finishing. Anhydrite screeds (posadzka anhydrytowa) use calcium sulfate binders, cure faster and are often thinner (about 20–40 mm) but require careful moisture control and compatible finishes. Gypsum-based screeds (posadzka gipsowa) are used mainly in dry interiors. Self-levelling screeds (posadzki samopoziomujące) can be cement- or anhydrite-based and provide an ultra-flat base for direct covering or decorative coatings. Resin-based screeds (posadzki żywiczne), such as epoxy or polyurethane systems, are common in industrial, commercial, and specialty contexts.

Applications and finishing depend on the chosen type. Posadzki level substrate irregularities, support underfloor heating, and create a base for tiles, wood, laminate, vinyl, or decorative coatings. Moisture sensitivity, drying/curing times, and surface hardness vary by material, influencing preparation, primers, and sealing requirements. Proper substrate preparation, moisture barriers where needed, reinforcement, and expansion joints are essential to prevent cracking and ensure long-term performance.
