Polümeermatriksis, often translated as polymer matrix, refers to a composite material where a polymer acts as the binder or matrix. This polymer surrounds and binds together reinforcing materials, which can be fibers, particles, or flakes. The polymer matrix provides shape, transfers stress to the reinforcement, and protects it from the environment.
