The class includes widely used commercial polymers such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT).

Structure: Polyesteripolymeeri polymers are typically linear or lightly branched; the repeating unit results from condensation of diols with dicarboxylic acids (or diesters). The ester bonds influence rigidity and crystallinity, and crystallinity depends on monomer choice and processing. Properties and applications: Polyesteripolymeeri polymers offer high tensile strength, modulus, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability. They are widely used in textiles, packaging (bottles, films), and engineering plastics.
