Pistejoukkoa, in Finnish mathematics, corresponds to the English term point set and refers to a collection of points within a given space. It is a fundamental object in geometry, topology, and analysis, used to describe shapes, regions, and distributions of points.

Formally, if X is a space (for example Euclidean space R^n or a metric space), a pistejoukko is any subset A ⊆ X. Examples range from a single point to a line segment, a circle in the plane, a full lattice, or more complicated sets such as the Cantor set or a data point cloud.
