Pingförfrågningar, often shortened to "ping," are a fundamental networking tool used to test the reachability of a host on an Internet Protocol (IP) network. The primary purpose of a ping request is to measure the round-trip time for messages sent from the originating host to a destination computer and back. This round-trip time, commonly referred to as latency, provides an indication of the quality and speed of the network connection between the two devices.
