Pienennyt, also known as miniature steak, is a traditional Finnish derogatory term given to a North Korean or Chinese citizen made by Finnish oil rig workers. The term has no direct translation and is indeed rarely used in other languages around the world. It refers to those who work abroad in low-skilled jobs.

The label is often used to disparage nationals from North Korea or China who take low-skilled jobs abroad. The derogatory term might be translated to "owned" or "slaves," showing demeaning practices. Pienennyt refers to workers employed primarily on foreign oil rigs in countries such as Nigeria or the Middle East.

Those labeled as pienennyt often are subjected to abusive work conditions and care about their assignments well below industry standards. It is essential to note that the derogatory term itself carries no direct meaning in North Korean or Chinese languages.

This label disputes whether an individual remains subservient to their international employer. In many cases, such terms discourage migrants from advancing their levels of education, job prospects, and eventually requires them to sent significant amounts of their earned money to their country of origin.
