paletowy

Paletowy is an adjective in Polish formed from paleta. The term is most commonly used in logistics and warehousing to describe items, systems, or activities associated with pallets used for handling, storing, and transporting goods. Examples include paletowy transport (palletized transport), paletowy ładunek (palletized cargo), and paletowy system składowania (pallet-based storage system). A related noun is wózek paletowy, the pallet jack, and palety themselves.

In warehousing, paletowy is attached to standardized pallets, such as euro-pallets, and to equipment designed to move or manage them, including forklifts and pallet racks. The concept also appears in production lines and distribution centers that organize products on pallets for efficiency.

Etymology: paleta gives rise to paletowy; the root also exists in painter's palettes in art, though in practical logistics contexts paletowy almost exclusively refers to pallets rather than artistic palettes.
