How it works: A padding profile specifies a target line length, font metrics, and device density. The tool computes padding values for glyph boundaries or between words, producing micro-spacing that remains visually subtle. Modes typically include glyph-padding and word-padding.

Implementation and use: Experimental libraries exist for web and desktop environments. Typical workflow is to provide a font and layout target, run a padding calculator to produce an augmented text stream or a wrapper that enforces padding via CSS or layout primitives, while keeping the original text accessible.
