ostetakse

Ostetakse is the present passive form of the Estonian verb ostama, meaning to buy. It translates roughly as "is bought" or "are bought" and is used to describe purchases without specifying who performs them. The passive voice in Estonian often appears in everyday speech, advertisements, classifieds, and market descriptions.

Ostetakse is formed with the verb stem osta- plus the passive suffix -etakse. The construction does not indicate the agent doing the buying; the subject of the sentence is the thing that is bought.
