Ordantal is a valley region in the fictional continent of Valoria, situated in the western foothills of the Ternan Mountains. The landscape combines broad agricultural plains with scattered forests and a braided river system. The Ord River flows northeast through the valley, creating fertile floodplains; small upland streams feed into it from the surrounding hills. The climate is temperate, with wet winters and dry, mild summers.

According to historical sources and archaeological finds, Ordantal has been inhabited since ancient times, with early settlements clustered along the river and at pass routes through the hills. In the medieval period it consisted of several allied lordships and villages; it later joined a regional confederation and, in the modern era, gained autonomous provincial status within Valoria.

As of the latest census, Ordantal is home to about 42,000 people. The population is predominantly Ordic in ethnicity, with minority communities speaking nearby dialects. The principal language is Ordic, with literacy and education conducted in both Ordic and the official language of Valoria.

The economy is mixed: agriculture—grain, fruit, and vineyards—accounts for a large share of livelihoods; timber and stonework supply local crafts and construction; small-scale manufacturing and food processing supplement income. Tourism centers on scenic river valleys, seasonal markets, and rural festivals.

Administratively, Ordantal is governed by a regional council led by a governor, with local councils in the towns of Loran, Mirin, and Sedgeport. The region relies on a network of roads and a light rail line that connects its towns to the provincial capital. Notable features include the Sable Wood to the south and the terraces around Grange Point, which is a historic agricultural site.
