Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote development and use of geospatial technology and standards. The OGC promotes and facilitates the use of geospatial data and provides a framework for geospatial systems interoperability. The organization was established in 1994 and has since become a leading global forum for the development of open geospatial standards.
