Opencircuitjännite, often abbreviated as Voc, refers to the maximum voltage a photovoltaic (PV) cell or module can produce when no electrical load is connected. This condition, known as open circuit, means that no current is flowing through the device. It is a fundamental parameter used to characterize the performance of solar cells and is typically measured under standard test conditions (STC). STC are defined as an irradiance of 1000 W/m², a solar spectrum of AM1.5, and a cell temperature of 25°C.
