Omnibus is a term with several related senses in English, all deriving from the Latin omnibus, meaning for all. In transportation, an omnibus originally referred to a horse-drawn vehicle designed to carry multiple passengers, and the term later came to denote motor buses as well. In common use, "bus" is largely a shortened form of omnibus.

In publishing and media, an omnibus denotes a single volume that collects a number of shorter works, or a bound collection of related writings or episodes. Omnibus editions are common for authors who publish a cycle of novels, for magazines that compile issues, or for comics and film collections, often presenting a comprehensive edition.

In legislation, an omnibus bill or act is a single legislative measure that packages together several separate bills or provisions. It can streamline passage but is sometimes criticized for reducing scrutiny of individual items.

In film and television, an omnibus (or omnibus film) refers to a work that comprises a group of shorter segments or stories, sometimes connected by a common theme or frame narrative; similarly, an omnibus episode in a TV series collects multiple stories.
