olümpiamängudeks

Olümpia"mängudeks" is the Estonian term for the Olympic Games. These are international multi-sport events, typically held every four years. The modern Olympic Games were inspired by the ancient Olympic Games held in Olympia, Greece, from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD. Pierre de Coubertin, a French educator and historian, is credited with founding the modern Olympic Games in 1896.
