Core responsibilities of a nodesagent include registering the node with a management endpoint, reporting health status and telemetry (such as CPU, memory, disk, and network metrics), and applying configuration or policy changes issued by the control plane. It typically supports software inventory and automated updates, security policy enforcement, and event generation or alerting to inform operators of anomalies or remediation actions. By performing these tasks locally, a nodesagent helps maintain node readiness and reduces the need for frequent central queries.

Architecture and operation commonly involve the nodesagent running as a background daemon on each node.
