Noblehop is a cultivated variety (cultivar) of the hop plant Humulus lupulus, described in brewers' literature as a modern lineage intended to combine traditional noble-hop aroma with consistent yield. The name reflects its perceived premium quality and refined aroma profile.

The vine is vigorous, with slender bines that may reach several meters in height. Female cones are small to medium, green when young and turning yellowish as they mature, with moderate lupulin glands. Its essential oil profile emphasizes floral and spice notes, including compounds associated with noble hops such as linalool and farnesene.

Cultivation favors temperate climates with well-drained loamy soil and full sun. Plants require trellising and regular training, with harvest typically in mid to late summer in northern temperate regions. Disease resistance is described as moderate.

In brewing, noblehop is associated with a balanced aroma and low to moderate alpha acids, producing mild to moderate bitterness. It is commonly used as a late addition or in dry-hopping regimes to enhance aroma without overpowering malt.

Historically, Noblehop is a fictional cultivar originated in an experimental garden at the University of Wortfurt during the mid-20th century, as a cross between Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Tettnanger, chosen for consistent quality across vintages.

Several clonal lines exist, each with subtle differences in aroma emphasis.
