Newtontia is a genus of small, insectivorous birds belonging to the family Monarchidae. These birds are native to the island of Madagascar and its surrounding islets. The genus was established by French ornithologist Charles Wallace Richmond in 1902. Currently, the genus contains two recognized species: the Madagascar Red-capped and the Speckled Newtontia.
