Neologizálás is a linguistic phenomenon referring to the creation and adoption of new words or phrases within a language. These new lexical items, known as neologisms, can emerge for various reasons, including the need to describe new concepts, technologies, or social trends, or simply as a creative linguistic exercise.

The process of neologizálás can occur through several mechanisms. Compounding, where existing words are joined together to form a new one (e.g., "smartphone"), is a common method. Affixation, the addition of prefixes or suffixes to existing words (e.g., "unfriend"), is another frequent source of neologisms.
