Nasenraums refers to a type of raised platform in a forest, typically used in military contexts as part of a defensive position. These platforms, also known as "nose-nest" or "nose-cone" bunkers, allow observers to survey surroundings without exposing themselves to enemy fire.

Designed to provide maximum visibility, nasenraums often feature high walls or parapets that block direct fire from nearby positions, while a level surface or a Bendperv slope such as turret facilitates the emplacement of spotting or anti-tank weapons.

Built into the sides of natural formations, such as hills or valleys, nasenraums might combine natural camouflage and the angle of repose of a slope may shield attacking forces which must involve the sides of the terrain feature. In some cases, these platforms also served as anti-tank ambush positions to prevent enemy armor advances.
