Nanosteps refer to extremely small increments of movement or change, typically on the nanometer scale. A nanometer is one billionth of a meter, a distance so small it is invisible to the naked eye. These steps are often associated with precise positioning systems and manufacturing processes.

In scientific and engineering contexts, nanosteps are crucial for tasks requiring atomic-level accuracy. For example, in nanotechnology and semiconductor fabrication, manipulators and tools must be able to move with nanometer precision to assemble or modify materials at the molecular level.
