Naljadega is a fictional highland region in the central uplands of the continent of Arion, used in fantasy literature and role-playing settings. It features a distinct topography and cultural backdrop that inform multiple narratives.

The region covers about 22,000 square kilometers and lies at elevations from 1,200 to 2,800 meters. Its landscape includes basalt plateaus, steep ravines, and alpine valleys. The montane climate yields cool summers and snowy winters; hydrology comprises glacial rivers such as the Sorem and Kora that flow toward the Bay of Leth.

Human presence in Naljadega dates to the late Bronze Age, with later terrace agriculture and trade routes shaping its development. In the medieval period it comprised semi-autonomous hill principalities that controlled passes; in the modern era it joined the Arion Republic and now operates with a regional Autonomous Council.

The Naljadega language group, known as Naldega, has several dialects. The culture emphasizes weaving, metalwork, and terrace-building. Social life centers on markets and seasonal festivals, notably the midsummer Gate festival at the Gate of Dawn. Religious practices mix ancestral rites with contemporary beliefs.

The economy relies on terrace farming (barley, potatoes, buckwheat), small-scale mining of basalt and obsidian, and ecotourism. Protected areas conserve alpine flora and fauna, including ibex and snow hare, while tourism emphasizes mountain landscapes and hiking.
