målværdi

Målværdi is a term used in Danish and Norwegian to denote the value a process, measurement, or outcome is intended to reach. It represents the desired or target value that guides planning, evaluation, and control. The concept is applied across science, engineering, industry, and administration to quantify goals and expectations.

In metrology and calibration, målværdi serves as a reference value against which measurements are compared. The actual measurement is evaluated for its deviation from the målværdi, and tolerances define how far an acceptable result may lie from the target.
