Multiorderpicking, also referred to as multi-order picking, is a warehouse picking technique in which items for multiple customer orders are picked in a single picking run rather than one order at a time.

In practice, orders are batched by a warehouse management system (WMS) or manual grouping. A picker retrieves items for all orders in the batch from their locations, typically using a pick list, mobile device, or pick-to-light/voice system. The items are kept separated by order in totes or trays and later consolidated at packing.

Advantages include higher picker productivity and reduced travel time; improved labor utilization; and higher throughput, particularly in high-demand e-commerce and third-party logistics. Trade-offs include a higher risk of mispicks, more complex packing and sorting, the need for stronger inventory visibility, and more sophisticated WMS support.

Common approaches within multiorderpicking include batch picking, cluster picking, and wave picking; technologies like pick-to-light, voice-directed picking, and scanning improve accuracy. Optimal batch size and layout design are critical to balance speed and accuracy.
