Monzogranite is an intrusive igneous rock belonging to the granite family. In monzogranite, alkali feldspar is present in a greater proportion than plagioclase feldspar, but the difference is not significant enough to classify it as a true granite where alkali feldspar is dominant.

It is a coarse-grained rock, meaning its individual mineral crystals are visible to the naked eye. The main minerals found in monzogranite include quartz, alkali feldspar (such as orthoclase or microcline), and plagioclase feldspar. Monzogranite forms from the slow cooling and solidification of felsic magma deep within the Earth's crust. This slow cooling allows for the growth of large mineral crystals. It is commonly found in large intrusions such as batholiths and stocks, often associated with continental crustal settings and mountain-building events. Monzogranite is a significant component of many mountain ranges worldwide.
