Micromesh refers to materials with very fine openings, typically in the micron range. In engineering and science, micromesh denotes high-precision screens or filters whose pores allow passage of small particles while blocking larger ones. The term is also a brand name for a line of fine abrasive finishing products marketed as Micromesh, used for polishing stone, glass, metal, wood, and automotive surfaces.

Micromesh can be made from stainless steel, nickel, or certain polymers, and is available as woven wire mesh, perforated sheets with micro-sized holes, or laminated membranes. Pore sizes are described in micrometres or mesh count and typically range from a few micrometres up to several hundred micrometres, depending on material and fabrication.
