Menssmärta, also known as dysmenorrhea, refers to pain experienced during menstruation. It is a common condition affecting many individuals who menstruate, and the severity can range from mild discomfort to debilitating pain. The pain is typically felt in the lower abdomen, but can also radiate to the back and thighs. Associated symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, dizziness, and fatigue.
There are two main types of menssmärta. Primary dysmenorrhea is not caused by an underlying medical condition
