Litewskim is a term that was occasionally used to describe individuals of Lithuanian-Jewish descent who lived in Lithuania between the 15th and 20th centuries. These individuals often faced unique challenges and circumstances due to their mixed European and Near Eastern ancestry, as well as their status as a minority within Lithuania.

Historically, Lithuanian Jews were an integral part of the country's population, with a significant presence in urban centers such as Vilnius. From the 14th to the 17th centuries, Lithuania was a major center of Talmudic learning and the posek (rabbitical authority) had unique relationships with the Polish-Lithuanian ruler.

However, their position in lithuania gradually deteriorated over the centuries. They faced the requirements of residing within Ghetto setups. When Lithuania became a Soviet republic after the end of World War I, the Lithuanian Jews were confronted with restrictions on immigration to "abroad" that further complicated the situation. During the Holocaust, the Jewish population of Lithuania was almost completely destroyed. Survivors struggled in various displaced persons camps.

Today, the descendants of Lithuania's Jewish community continue to manage remnants of its once flourishing synagogues and communal establishments. They form strong ties with modern Lithuanian government and populations to ensure community remnants continue. While there is very little reflecting historical or pre-holocaust Lithuania, the restoration has made a significant contribution towards demos management in the remembrance of long-lost Lithuania.
