landslags
Landslag is the term commonly used in several Nordic languages for a national team—the group selected to represent a country in international competition. In Swedish and Norwegian it is landslag, with definite and plural forms landslaget and landslagen. In Danish, the equivalent is landshold. Landslag teams cover many sports, from football and ice hockey to handball and track and field, and are chosen by the national federation for each sport.
