kvantummetrologian
Kvantummetrologia, or quantum metrology, is a field that leverages quantum mechanical phenomena to perform measurements with unprecedented precision. It aims to overcome the limitations of classical measurement techniques, often referred to as the standard quantum limit, by utilizing properties such as entanglement and squeezing. Entanglement allows for correlations between particles that are stronger than any classical correlation, enabling measurements that are more sensitive to external influences. Squeezed states of light, for example, can reduce the uncertainty in one observable at the expense of increased uncertainty in another, but in a way that enhances the measurement of the desired observable.
The principles of quantum metrology are being applied to a variety of scientific and technological domains.
