kuumasinkitylle
Kuumasinkitys is a Finnish term referring to the process of hot-dip galvanizing. This is a method of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron to prevent rust and corrosion. The process involves immersing the fabricated metal into a bath of molten zinc. Before dipping, the metal is cleaned to remove impurities, typically through a degreasing and acid pickling process, followed by a fluxing stage to ensure good adhesion of the zinc.
Once immersed, the molten zinc metallurgically bonds with the base metal, forming a durable, multi-layered coating.
